The evaluation kit is an advanced solution designed for industrial-grade real-time location system (RTLS) applications in challenging environments. Combining ultra-rugged construction with cutting-edge LoRaWAN GNSS & Bluetooth® Low Energy technologies, this evaluation kit provides a comprehensive platform for testing and deploying robust location tracking solutions both indoors and outdoors over wide areas. The BEEKs Asset+ is a ruggedized industrial tracker that utilizes GNSS with LoRaWAN for wide area outdoor asset tracking and Bluetooth Low energy for indoor real-time location, it is equipped with ultra-bright LEDs and a buzzer to facilitate asset identification for location and picking applications, this evaluation kit enhances asset identification and tracking efficiency in challenging settings.
Sense Asset+ comes in two versions: The standard version allows fixation via cable ties or rivets to a multitude of assets. The Hanger version is designed for quick attachment and removal to a vehicle’s rear-view mirror, large cables etc.

Setup Instructions:
LoRa Gateway Setup:
The Gateway is supplied preconfigured, all that is required is to provide power and a internet connection. The gateway is configured to act as a DHCP client.
It is recommended to mount the gateway either on a tower or above the roof of the tallest building using the provided pole mount brackets, such that the gateway has line of site with the majority of the site. For initial testing or test where limited range is acceptable the gateway can be temporarily powered indoors or at ground level using a temporary setup. Note the gateway internal antennas are directional, for omnidirectional antenna it is recommended to use 6dBi eternal antennas which is not supplied with the kit. for further detail please review the Gateway Quick start page and recommended external antennas
Accessing Bluzone project
A Bluzone project will be created for the evaluation Kit with the LoRa Gateway, BluFI and Asset+ Tags pre provisioned. Please contact a HID representative to obtain access to the project. An email will be sent to you, first create a Bluzone account and then accept the invitation to your project.

BluFi UP00 Setup
The BluFI UP and supplied preconfigured to operate using the Ethernet connection, Power the device either with PoE or the supplied DC power.
To use Wifi 2.4GHz or 5GHz instead of ethernet, BluFI template within Bluzone will need to be updated with your WiFi credentials, the BluFI will then need to be reprovisioned using the mobile app and the updated template.
NOTE: Reprovisioning of BluFI will reset the scan mode to default, if this occurs the BluFi will no longer be able to detect the Asset+. Please contact HID support to reconfigure the BluFI to third party scan mode.

Create a new Location layer for the BluFIs and upload an indoor map if it is available
Repeat the above step to assign the location for each BluFI
The Demo kits supplied with two BluFIs can be used for Nearest BluFI indoor positioning, this is where the indoor position of the Asset+ is determined to be the location of the nearest BluFI, therefore the BluFIs should be placed some distance away from each other potentially in different rooms. Note that it is possible to enable full indoor RTLS but more BluFIs may be required, please discuss this with your HID representative if it is required.
