Creating a BluFI Template

Step-by-step guide

  1. Go into Templates by clicking the tab on the left hand side of the screen.

  2. Click 'Create' or choose one you would like to modify  and select clone.

    1. Provide a suitable name name in the name field

    2. “Template type”, select BluFI

    3. “Network Selection”, select WiFi + Ethernet

    4. “Network Protocol” Select either DHCP client or static IP address

    5. “Network name” Insert WiFi SSI name

    6. “security Type” Select Security type used by WiFI access point

    7. “Password” Enter WiFi password

    8. Tick enable identity broadcast,

      1. select interval 1s beacon rate

      2. Advertisement Tx power =0dBm

    9. Select Enable Asset tracking

    10. Select whether to use internal or external WiFI and BLE antennas

    11. Select Increase gain for BLE antenna

    12. select save

  1. To apply the template to a device,

    1. if the device is connected to bluzone Pick the device you would like to add the template to.
      Select Apply Template
      Select from pull down the desired template
      Select Save

    2. If the device is not connected to Bluzone use the mobile app to reprovision the device with the template configuration via BLE to the device
